Zion Lutheran Church is busy preparing to celebrate it’s 75th Anniversary.  Pastor Hugo Guerney came to town in 1935.  Zion was incorporated on October 4, 1937, and has been a part of the community ever since.

The 75th Anniversary celebration will be on Sunday, October 7 with former Pastor Dan Wurster preaching at the regular morning service at 11 am.  Pastor Wurster served Zion from 1973 to 1976 during the building and dedication of the currrent building.  Pastor Ken Goodfellow, who served Zion from 1969 to 1973, will preach at the special afternoon service at 4 p.m.

There will be a meal to follow the afternoon service.  Members have been busy preparing music, food, decorations and even a short account of our history.  This picture shows Dorothy Geisler, Dorothea Grandorff, Mary Ann Boll and Pastor Shawn Neider studying the scrapbooks and sharing memories.  Zion is looking forward to connitue to be active in the community for many years to come.
