Henry “LeRoy” Wood, born Feb. 23, 1933, in Crawford, Neb., moved to Washington state with his family in 1950. LeRoy went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, July 31, 2012, after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s disease. LeRoy was a faithful and loving husband, a caring and devoted father, and a loving grandfather.

He is proceded in death by his father Leo Wood, mother Margerett ‘Davis’ Wood, brother Leo Keith Wood, brother Lein David Wood, and sister Shirley May Wood.

LeRoy is survived by his wife of 54 years Janice of Grand Coulee, son Richard and wife Patricia of Coulee Dam, son Scott and wife Judy of Home, Wash., and daughter Becky and Husband Rusty of Nenana, Alaska; seven Grandchildren: Heather, Caitlin, Ariel, Dakota, Savannah, Nichole and Travis. LeRoy had much extended family and loved ones including Duane Golden and numerous nieces and nephews.

LeRoy displayed his love in the way he lived his life… I can honestly say every one who met him swiftly came to love him, he will be missed by all.

There will be a memorial service held at the Seventh Day Adventist Church at Young & Continental Heights St., in Grand Coulee Saturday, Aug. 11, at 2 p.m. with a potluck gathering to follow.

We hope to see you all there!
