The Festival of America, July 3 and 4, will celebrate our freedoms at the park below the Visitor Center in Coulee Dam.

There will be craft booths, food, and music for hometown folks and visitors alike and it will all be capped off Wednesday night after the Laser Light Show with fireworks over Grand Coulee Dam.

The event is sponsored by the Coulee Dam Casino, the Grand Coulee Dam Area Chamber of Commerce and the town of Coulee Dam.

During the day, the craft and food booths will open at 11 a.m. and continue through 9:30 p.m., just before the Laser Light Show, which kicks off at 10 p.m.

Music begins each day at 4 p.m. and continues until just before the light show.

On Tuesday, July 3, The Cruizers kick off music at 5 p.m. and at 8:15 Elvis impersonator Steve Sogura will perform. Wednesday’s music begins at 5 p.m. with Scott and Kayla performing in a country way, followed by William Florian’s 60s music at 6:30, with Sogura anchoring the evening’s performances.

On Wednesday night, immediately following the Laser Light Show, fireworks will be fired off the top of the dam.

Tours of the dam commence at 10 a.m. each day, and conclude at 5 p.m. Tours begin at the east end of the dam and include visits to the pumping station and a stop on top of Grand Coulee Dam so visitors can look over the spillway.

It’s one of the great places to bring the family, and stay the day.
