Contract extended for school superintendent

The Grand Coulee Dam School District board added another year onto Superintendent Dennis Carlson’s contract, in action recently.
The added year extends Carlson’s contract to July 1, 2014. Students will be moving into the new school facility, if construction is on time, in late August to start the new school year.
Carlson is serving a two-year contract, with the first year ending July 1, this year.
The contract extension came after a board evaluation of the superintendent during its last meeting.
