The Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon on Thursday, May 24, at the Siam Palace in Grand Coulee.

Saturday Market Meeting

A meeting for this year’s Saturday Market will be held May 31, at 6 p.m., at Brandy’s Antiques, 325 Midway Ave., Grand Coulee.  Last years vendors and anyone interested in participating this year are encouraged to attend.

Free Produce Event Friday

Thrivent Financial for Lutherans will have its free produce truck here Friday, May 25, local officials stated.

The truck will arrive and be ready for free distribution of food from 10 a.m. to noon, at the Zion Lutheran Church, 318 Mead Avenue, in Grand Coulee.

All who need food are welcome, officials said. There are no special qualifications needed to receive the Thrivent food. Officials have asked that people bring their own boxes and to tell others of the event.

A spokesman stated that food will be distributed until the supply runs out. In past years the Thrivent Financial for Lutherans truck has carried over a ton of food to the area for the free pickup.

The event is part of the 2nd Harvest program and spearheaded by Thrivent and local Lutherans.
