Nancy Fahr Starr

Nancy Fahr Starr passed away Thursday, Apr. 5, 2012, surrounded by family after a courageous battle with diabetes.

She was born September 6, 1933, in Chicago to Ernest and Eleanor Fahr and with her sister, Eleanor, the family moved to Grand Coulee in 1940 when their dad went to work as electrician on the Dam. She attended school in Grand Coulee.

Nancy married Tom Irvin and had three kids: Tom, Ronnie and Carol and later divorced. In 1961, she married Theo Starr and they made their home in the Tri-Cities for over 51 years. She was active in the 2-Rivers Riding Club, loved her roses & gardening; enjoyed camping, avid reader, being a grandma, WSU and Elvis fan, and spending time with her many wonderful life-long friends and visiting the Coulee which she always considered home.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronnie (Michelle) Pasco and Tom Irvin of Wenatchee; grandkids in Ohio, sisters: Eleanor Reihs in Richland and Susan Miller in Electric City, many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
