• The GCDSD school board accepted donations of $115 from the TeePee Drive-in (62 milk shakes and 22 ice cream cones), given as incentives; and $150 from Ray Harrington, who receives that amount for keeping score and then signs his check over for the Middle School girls basketball program.

• Lake Roosevelt High School counselor Sue Hayes and dean of students Richard Black will travel with about 30 juniors and seniors to Eastern Washingon University, April 25, to meet with admission officers and tour the campus. The trip is being paid for through funds from the College Access Challenge Grant.

• March enrollment figures for the Grand Coulee Dam School District showed an average of 627.9 full-time students, down one from the February report and eight over the projected budget number.

• The 7th and 8th grade bands traveled to Wenatchee March 14 and participated in the regional band festival. Under the direction of Derek Pulsifer, both bands scored “excellent” and missed the “superior” rating by only two points.

• School lunches will go up 5 cents for the 2012-13 school year. All other school fees will remain the same as for the current year.

• The board agreed to move its next meeting date from April 23 to April 30.
