Two veteran school employees, Charlene Tracy and George Davis, are retiring or taking new positions.

The school board March 26 accepted Tracy's retirement request.

She has been with the district for 28 years, and served in three schools.

She said Tuesday that she planned to travel with her husband who retired last year.

Tracy started with the district at Center School, when it was open the first time, transferred to Wright Elementary and for the past several years has been at the Grand Coulee Dam Middle School as secretary and co-athletic director.

Davis resigned his position as transportation director, but will remain as a mechanic. He has been with the district 28 years. He had been transportation director on two separate occasions and served before as a mechanic.

District officials said Davis will relinquish his position April 30, giving the district time to find a replacement.

The school board also approved a supplemental contract for Lisa Carlson to serve as assistant volleyball coach at the middle school.

The board also approved the resignations of Flint Bjorson as Lake Roosevelt head fast pitch coach, Cathy Krohn as advisor to the Lake Roosevelt National Honor Society chapter, and Brad Wilson as head basketball coach.

In another matter, Sherri Boutain, a cook, was given a leave of absence.
