Honor Steve Breeze by learning to forgive

Next week will mark the one-year memorial for the passing of Mr. Breeze.

I found myself thinking about him this week and wanted to share how much people like him mean to me. He, and people like him, inspired me by doing what he did every day, not sweating the small stuff. I found that this saying has way more meaning than I thought: “MEAN PEOPLE SUCK”. There is so much hatred in the world already, and it’s sad how people teach it to their kids at such a young age. I see it all the time and worse than that, I experience it!

I was thinking about how I was telling the Lady Raiders after State last year how during that week I kept seeing Mr. Breeze in the car passing by us, in the crowd cheering for them, and just standing down by the tunnel. I knew he was with us then and I know his spirit is with us now.

In Honor of this one-year mark, I ask that everyone remember the spirit of this man by learning to forgive and to not teach our children hate. No matter how much you THINK you hate someone, you know it CAN’T go on forever, why should it??!!

My thoughts and prayers are with the Breeze family at this important time!
