Give the new place a chance

I have seen businesses in this area come and go. For the few years that I have been here it seems like there isn't a lot of local support for the newcomer, especially if you are not from this area. I know times are tough but we occasionally eat out and sometimes we get in a rut and go to the same places all the time. We try to go to all the different eateries from Electric City to Coulee Dam.

“John Dough’s” is a new restaurant at the old Sage. If you have not tried it, do so, you will not be sorry you did. Their food is made to order, nothing is boxed, everything is fresh. It is made with an expertise that is undeniable. The flavors are magnificent, you would think you were back in time when pride and pleasure in your work was worth something. If you don't see something on the menu you are hungry for (maybe egg salad or tuna sandwich), ask your waitress. If they can accommodate you they will. They are very flexible. If you have allergies to some foods they will work with you to mix and match.

I dislike hearing badmouthing that people or businesses do to other people or business. They are here for a purpose and that is to serve our community. We are all different and that is what makes each and every one of us unique.

I love my community, it has so much to offer and most people are very friendly and very helpful. It seems like some people can't stand to see a new business prosper and it gives them a feeling of accomplishment when they bring a business down. I feel sorry for these people that think this way because to me, they are very unhappy people.

Let's rally with an open heart and open arms and give support to John Dough’s, give them a chance. We have enough of ourselves to share to all our local establishment.
