Melissa J. Green, 37, passed on Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, in Spokane surrounded by her loving family.  Melissa was born on September 11, 1974, in Spokane. She attended school in the Coulee area and graduated from Lake Roosevelt High School in 1993.  She attended Big Bend Community College and EWU and then received her Bachelor’s Degree from ITT Tech in 1998.  Melissa made her living as a bartender in Reno, Nev., and Spokane.  Melissa loved her job, her customers, and enjoyed meeting new people. 

She was preceded in death by her life partner Jon and multiple family members. 

She is survived by her parents Phil and Leslie of Spokane Valley,  sisters Robin and Kim; brothers Scott, Kelly, and Ryan and many nieces and nephews who all loved and cherished her. 

Private family services will be held on January 21, with a life celebration for friends in August.
