Anglers try their hands for Banks Lake fish July 8 in front of Steamboat Rock under a sky already tinged with smoke from wildfires. Those skies grew much smokier over the last week as the worst fires in the nation burned more than 250,000 acres, in Okanogan County, drawing in local firefighters in a massive fight that is still underway.
