Softball

The Lady Raiders split their week with big losses and wins.

They lost both games of a home doubleheader to Okanogan April 24, 10-0, 17-3.

But Lake Roosevelt handily took down Brewster two days later, 16-6, 14-4, after beating them 11-1 on the Bears' home field April 23.

It helped that Presley Steffens struck out 12 batters in five innings.

Now 16-4 for the season, the Lady Raiders stand second in the league only to Okanogan (17-1), the only team in the North Central Washington 2B league to beat them.

Brewster is a distant third with a 10-8 record.

Ivan Alejandre pitches for Lake Roosevelt versus Okanogan Wednesday.

A game at Quincy May 6 has been canceled.

The 2024 District 6 2B Fastpitch Softball Tournament is coming up Saturday, May 4 - Friday, May 17. Times and places are yet to be decided.

Baseball

Raider baseball lost 10-0 at Okanogan Wednesday, then to Brewster in both games of a doubleheader in Coulee Dam 17-2, 14-2.

They were played at Okanogan again last night in the opener of the 2024 District 6 2B Baseball Tournament, which goes through May 9.

The Raiders entered post season with a 2-19 regular season win-loss record.

The loss to Okanogan (9-11) sends them to a May 4 postseason game at 1 p.m. at Manson versus Liberty Bell (16-4).
