Raiders take the middle road at Powerhouse tourney

Four of Lake Roosevelt's nine wrestlers at the Powerhouse Tournament they hosted Dec. 21 placed in the tournament, putting the team in the middle of the 16-team tourney with 74 team points.

Tonasket won the tourney with 216.5 points.

Wrestling at 150 pounds, Francis Louie pinned Tonasket's Casen Clark in 1:55 to take third place in the weight and earn 22 points for the team. Along the way, he pinned three opponents and got pinned once himself.

Dillan Yazzie, at 113, lost 5-3 to a White Swan wrestler, then pinned his next two opponents, took another by 5-2, then pinned Oroville's Ethan Reyes in 4:10 to take third place and earn 16 points for the team.

Terek Bush scored 12 points for the Raiders in his battle to take fourth at 285. Bush pinned or bested by decision two opponents but was pinned twice, including in the third/fourth place bout.

Blake Chuckelnaskit took sixth at 215 for 9 team points, pinning two wrestlers and getting pinned twice.

Kaden Christman won three of five matches at 132, two by pin, for eight team points.

Colin Chaney won two of his four matches at 144 for seven team points.

Andrew Cannon pinned one opponent at 215 and got pinned twice.
