Geoffrey N. "Geoff" Foot

Geoffrey N. "Geoff" Foot, 72, longtime resident of Grand Coulee, Washington, passed on Wednesday morning, October 4, 2023 to meet Jesus his Savior face to face.

Born Monday, August 27, 1951 in Seattle, Washington, the eldest son of Earnest John and Dorothy Jean Foot, Geoff grew up in Alderwood Manor, Washington. As a youth, Geoff reveled in spending time out of doors, often raising extra money cutting Alder trees for his neighbors.

Following graduation from Meadowdale High School in Snohomish County, Washington, Geoff earned an Associate of Arts degree at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington and then went on to the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington, where received his "BSME" (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering) Degree.

Geoff was employed as a certified welder for a time, before moving on to Grand Coulee Dam as a Mechanical Engineer and member of the dam's dive team. He retired from Grand Coulee Dam after 34 years of service.

A member of the Grand Coulee Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years, Geoff found joy in assisting students as a math tutor with Lake Roosevelt School in Coulee Dam, Washington.

A longtime member of Faith Community Church in Electric City, Washington, Geoff was one who was always faithful to serve in any way which he was able. Geoff derived special enjoyment helping with the very youngest members of the congregation in the church nursery.

When not helping others within his community, Geoff enjoyed riding his bicycle and had a lifelong love of driving and working on sports cars. Geoff had owned several models including "Triumphs", a "Corvette" and a most recently a "Miata."

Predeceased by his father Earnest John Foot; mother Dorothy Jean Huntley-Foot and brother Paul David Foot; Geoff is survived by his brother: Philip B. Foot and several cousins.
