The Here for Good Foundation, STCU’s charitable foundation, is encouraging donations at innovia.org/stcu-here-for-good-foundation to support communities impacted by recent wildfires in the Inland Northwest. All funds donated are tax deductible and will be administered through local non-profit organizations to support rebuild and recovery efforts in local communities.

The credit union seeded this effort with a $50,000 contribution.

“The various fires impacting our region are devasting to watch unfold,” said Marty Dickinson, STCU’s Chief Marketing Officer. “The Here for Good Foundation was established to help respond to critical needs in the communities we serve. Seven months after our Foundation’s launch, we are mobilized and ready to make good on that promise.”

STCU is joined in these efforts of community support by the Innovia Foundation, Premera Blue Cross and Washington Trust Bank.

“As a region, we have a history of coming together to take care of each other. Innovia was quick to stand up a wildfire emergency response fund for Eastern Washington,” said Innovia Chief Executive Officer Shelly O’Quinn. “This emergency fund provides an opportunity for neighbors to help neighbors and provide resources that will be needed now and in the future as our communities recover from the impacts of these devastating fires.” To learn more and make a donation to the Innovia Foundation Wildfire Emergency Response Fund – Eastern Washington, visit innovia.org/wildfire-relief.

STCU launched the Here for Good Foundation in January with a $1 million endowment that it hopes to grow to $10 million within 10 years. The foundation is administered by Innovia Foundation, which serves 20 counties in Eastern Washington and North Idaho. Founded in 1974, Innovia manages 800 charitable funds established on behalf of individuals and organizations looking to create charitable legacies for the causes and organizations they love.
