Golf season is in full swing, with tournaments and opens happening throughout the spring and summer at Banks Lake Golf Course.

About 26 people competed in the successful ECT Tournament on May 27. Winners of the four-man scramble were Dennis Whiteman, Derek Whiteman, Neil Johnson, and Nick Barnaby.

The Moose Tournament is set for June 16. Entry fee is $75. Those interested should sign up at the golf course or at the Moose Lodge in Grand Coulee. An Indian taco feed will take place after the tournament at the Moose Lodge.

The Coyote Open will be held, starting with a practice round on Friday, July 13, and will carry on throughout the weekend. The Coyote Open costs $130 to participate in, including green fees. For more information contact Frank “Bunky” Andrews at 509-631-4565.

The golf course will host the 10th annual Rattler Open Aug. 25, with a sign-up charge of $75. For more information, contact Russell Marchand at 634-8771.

“They’re all good for the golf course because they bring people out to golf,” said Clubhouse Manager Jim Keene. “There’s a good combination of people who golf regularly and those who don’t. That’s what’s exciting for us is getting new people out there to have fun at the golf course.”

Banks Lake Golf Course can be reached at 633-1400.
