Grand Coulee

12/5 - Local officers assisted tribal police who were taking a combative person to the hospital for observation. The man was checked and then taken by tribal police to jail.

- Police looked for a patient at Coulee Medical Center who had left the facility with an IV still attached to his arm. Hospital officials refused to press charges for the theft of the IV.

12/6 - Police were notified that someone had broken into a softball storage shed on the athletic field at the former middle school. It wasn’t immediately known if anything had been taken from the shed.

- Dispatch advised police of someone walking on Electric Boulevard, apparently arguing with themselves. No one was found.

- A woman was stopped for the second time this date for expired tabs. The woman, with an Alaskan license, was cited for the tabs being outdated and for having no proof of insurance.

- A woman from Jackson Avenue in Electric City reported that someone had entered her vehicle and taken some loose change. She told police that the vehicle had been locked but the officer couldn’t find evidence that the door had been forced.

12/7 - A man on Roosevelt Drive told police that he paid for a cord of wood but the full cord wasn’t delivered. Police contacted the seller about the cord of word; he said he would deliver the rest in a few days.

12/8 - An Omak woman had her vehicle towed after the officer found that she was driving while her license was suspended.

- Tribal police advised an officer of a man at Coulee Medical Center who was wanted on a warrant for his arrest. The officer responded to the hospital and took the man to Grant County jail.

- A man on Mead Avenue told police that he’d had a scam call from someone claiming to be from the IRS claiming that he needed to make payment or be arrested. He didn’t return the call.

12/9 - Police saw a man walking on Midway Avenue who was known to be wanted on a warrant for his arrest. He was detained on the warrant. Searching him, the officer found a knife with a spring-activated blade, an illegal weapon. The man was taken to Grant County jail, and the prosecutor’s office was notified on the weapon charge.

- A woman on West Grand Avenue in Electric City reported that a neighbor was burning something and the fumes were coming onto her property. Police tried to contact the party, but there wasn’t anyone home.

Coulee Dam

12/3 - A vehicle was stopped on River Drive after the officer was told that a person wanted on an arrest warrant was inside, but the officer found that the man was not the person wanted on a warrant.

12/4 - Officers checked on a report of a domestic issue at a home on Camas Street.

- A woman whose Oklahoma license was suspended was stopped on River Drive for going seven mph over the speed limit. She was cited, and the vehicle was turned over to a licensed driver.

- A man was stopped on Columbia Avenue when the officer noticed that his tabs had expired in August. When checking on the driver, it was found that he had a warrant for his arrest and that his license had been suspended. He was taken to Okanogan County jail on the warrant and received a citation for driving while suspended.

12/5 - Police and fire officials checked on an alarm at the Coulee Dam Casino. The property was searched and officials couldn’t find what set the alarm off.

12/6 - Police checked on a report of animal abuse on Central Drive.

12/9 - Police served a restraining order on a person on Camas Street.

- A man claimed that his grandfather-in-law had assaulted him at a residence on Civic Way, a claim that was not substantiated by police after the officer interviewed both parties.
